Webinar Description:
Navigating the complexities of labor and employment law can be challenging, particularly in cases filed before the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC).
In cases where workers or employers feel like they are still not being heard, even after having followed the grievance procedure, they may raise their cases to the National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC). The NLRC is a quasi-judicial body under DOLE that is tasked to promote and maintain industrial peace by resolving labor and management disputes.
The Single Entry Approach (SEnA) is a reform measure institutionalized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in 2010 to effect faster, fairer and inexpensive settlement of labor issues. The system prevents them from maturing into actual labor cases that will be elevated and resolved under the formal adjudication process.
This MasterClass provides a comprehensive guide to effectively managing these cases, from pre-filing procedures to the resolution of disputes. In this learning session, participants will gain a deep understanding of the legal processes involved, their rights and obligations, and how to engage with legal institutions in a manner that upholds fairness, professionalism, and respect for both employers and employees.
Through real-life case studies and practical exercises, participants will learn how to prepare for hearings, gather and present evidence, and address legal challenges with confidence and dignity. Key topics include compliance with labor standards, common violations and defenses, mediation and conciliation processes, and the art of effective representation in NLRC proceedings.
This course is ideal for HR professionals, legal practitioners, business owners, and anyone involved in labor and employment law cases. By the end of this MasterClass, participants will not only be equipped with the skills to handle legal disputes but also foster better employee relations and promote a culture of fairness within their organizations.
