The Essentials of HR and Labor Law

Protect your organization—and yourself—by knowing your rights and obligations under the law!

HR professionals are not only expected to know something about labor law. They are expected to be expert in it. In fact, every business owner and company manager ought to be skilled in HR and should have working knowledge on labor law and personnel management.

But the ever increasing demands of managing people and the often strict requirements of labor law, when mixed together, becomes a virtual “ticking time bomb” ready to blow in the face of even the most seasoned HR gurus and veteran entrepreneurs because of the human factor in all business equations.

It is therefore a must for every HR practitioner, business owner and company manager to educate themselves on the legal aspect of dealing with their workforce. There are labor laws that govern every stage of personnel management, from hiring to firing, and all areas in between.
