NPC is expected to enforce the DPA this year. Given that Singapore as well as EU (GDPR) have already imposed financial penalties on organisations who breached data protection laws, what can we expect in terms of the nature of privacy breaches in the Philippines?

What are the risks to look for, how to prevent data breaches and what does it mean in terms of demonstrating accountability for the PIC (Personal Information Controller) and PIP (Personal Information Processor)? Are there specific privacy standards to follow?
